English Creamware Transfer-Printed Pitcher, Made for the American Market, Ca. 1795

Made by and Signed “Herculaneum Pottery Liverpool.” One side has “Liberty” and “Independence” vignette surrounded by “Glebe” poem, other side has five gentlemen seated at a table drinking and smoking pipes, Federal Eagle with thirteen stars above “Pluribus Unum” banner, two stars, sheild, olive branch and arrows under spout.

Condition: 1/2 inch chip to spout, two 1 3/8″ and one 3/4″ hairline cracks at rim. Bottom chip, wear to rim, spout and handle.
